Weddings at Excellence Playa Mujeres
Excellence Playa Mujeres is an adults-only, all-suite resort on the calm, white-sand coast just north of Cancún. Ceremonies take place on the beach or at the resort’s stone gazebo overlooking the Caribbean Sea, with receptions on the sand, on terraces, or in an indoor ballroom.
It suits couples who want a relaxed, grown-up setting with spa time, golf next door at the Greg Norman designed Playa Mujeres Golf Club, and a guest list that stays close to the couple.

The Lovebirds package is complimentary when your wedding party books 20 paid room nights. It is available Monday to Thursday at 11:00 AM. Everlasting Memories needs a minimum of 10 guests, and larger parties can be added at $75 per person.

What a wedding here really costs
Here are package examples using the official 2026 prices. Room stays and add-ons such as extra photography are separate.
- 30 guests: $3,000 + 10 extra guests x $75 = $3,750 on a Monday to Wednesday, or $4,500 + $750 = $5,250 Thursday to Sunday
- 60 guests: $3,000 + 40 x $75 = $6,000 on a weekday, or $4,500 + $3,000 = $7,500 Thursday to Sunday
- 100 guests: $3,000 + 80 x $75 = $9,000 on a weekday, or $4,500 + $6,000 = $10,500 Thursday to Sunday

Bringing your own photographer or planner
The resort’s official wedding brochure does not list an outside vendor fee. If you plan to bring your own photographer or planner, ask the wedding team for the current outside vendor policy and any fee before booking.
Guest rooms and room blocks
The resort has 451 suites, including junior suites, swim-up suites, terrace suites with plunge pools, two-story rooftop terrace suites, and the upgraded Excellence Club. Agency listings put typical rates at around $465 per night for two. Because the free Lovebirds package depends on 20 paid room nights, a small room block can cover your ceremony cost. The couple and 90 percent of wedding guests are expected to stay at the resort.
